The Dresser Project

The Dresser Project (directed by Dr. Meredith S. Chesson, University of Notre Dame, US) celebrates one of the intimate, daily ways that people turn their houses into homes, create a sense of family, and ground themselves and their memories in dressers and delph. Inishbofin, Inishark, and Inishturk residents are committed to honouring and preserving their heritage, and the Dresser Project documents the history of these communities through everyday items in their homes.

The Dresser Project will be on display in the meeting room outside the library, Inishbofin Community Centre, during Heritage Week 2015  from the 22nd to the 30th August.
