Maintenance of the CDP Project through external Partnership and Co-operation into the future. The CDP, through its Project Co-Ordinator and Administrator endeavours to provide a vital link between the voluntary and private sectors of community together with state bodies and services now and going forward into the future.

The CDP, through its Project Co-Ordinator and Administrator endeavours to provide a vital link between the voluntary and private sectors of community together with state bodies and services. The CDP continues to be represented on and/or plays an active role with and/or through the work of:
As an example the Inishbofin CDP Project Co-Ordinator would meet with different persons in the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Islands Division, on a very regular basis in relation to the many projects covered in our program. The Co-Ordinator would meet with West Training on a regular basis in relation to the project development and maintenance. The Co-Ordinator would also meet with the County Development Board SIMs committee as well as a Comhdhail Oileain Na hEireann meeting every six weeks. The meetings with Galway County Council are also very regular in relation to the many projects that we share in bringing to fruition. The Project must maintain its links to the above and more in order to get the work done, even though it means a considerable amount of time is taken up by attending meetings each year. Without this contact and input the project would not get its work plan achieved. These groups and agencies are concerned with highlighting Island and rural development issues at local, national, and European level, so it is fundamental that the Inishbofin CDP maintains these links as part of its project maintenance. |
