Inishbofin has a Public Health Nurse, and a GP visits the island regularly.

In the Event of a Medical Emergency

1. Stay calm and Call 999
2. Request help and ensure you state you are located on an island off the coast of Connemara and give details of where you are.
3. Answer the questions of the call taker and listen carefully to the advice given, they will tell you exactly what to do.
4. The Emergency Services will launch the necessary supports to assist you both on the Island and from the mainland, you do not need to do anything more apart from follow the call takers advice.
5. Assistance might come by land, air or sea but please know help is on the way.
